I am sure you have heard this already but I can’t seem to escape it at the moment and it’s just so damn catchy. Daft Punk got game.
We’re up all night to get lucky…
Daft Punk:
This track almost seems post modern to me. After posting Return of The Mack on Friday, which reminds me vividly of my early teens, I stumbled across this on YouTube which samples it. This made me feel singularly old!
Trae Tha Truth is a rapper from Houston,TX and the track also features an impressive array of Hip Hop talent.

This radio-friendly number is from Coastal Cities, who are a youthful band from High Wycombe in the UK. They remind me a little of The Drums which is no bad thing.

A little bit of a mellower mid-week track today which I discovered via the Far From Cyan blog. Valentina is an Italian born singer who moved to the UK at a young age and now resides in London.

Healado Negro is one half of Ombre, who I posted a few months ago. This is similarly smooth and mellow.

I discovered this track silky smooth track from Swedish producer/DJ Freddie Cruger earlier in the week on the awesome Far From Cyan blog. I haven’t been able to get it out of my head since.

I saw Irish singer Liza Flume support Linnea Olsson at The Workmans Club a few weeks ago.
I enjoyed the simplicity of her music. As here, there was very little instrumentation or frills of any kind. She used looping created a infectious sound that I found rather hypnotic.

Little Green Cars are a five-piece band from Dublin. I know very little about them but intend to find out more. I came across them on a review of the SXSW Festival in Austin, TX on the excellent Dublin-based Nialler9 blog.
